MISERICORDIA (MERCY) CRUCIFIX
This unique crucifix is a wonderful rendition of a 14th-century processional cross called the Misericordia Crucifix, currently on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It features St. Francis at the top; the Blessed Virgin on the left; St. John the Beloved on the right; and St. Anthony of Padua at the bottom. Made of a resin-stone mix, it measures 14 1/2"H x 10 3/4"W x 1 1/2"D.
Artist of the original - Master of the Orcagnesque Misericordia (Italian, Florence, active second half 14th century)
