The Man Behind the Miracle is the life story of Father Alfred Boeddeker, humanitarian, theologian, poet and writer. Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by former President Ronald Reagan, Father Alfred served his fellow men and women without regard for race, religion or station in life. In San Francisco, he founded the St. Anthony Dining Room, which has served 27 million meals to the hungry, and the St. Anthony Clinic, which has given free medical care for forty years. For his dedication to safe housing and other services for seniors, Father Alfred has been called "the greatest advocate for the elderly in America". St. Anthony Farm has provided drug and alcohol rehabilitation for more than nine thousand people.
