The Path of Discernment: Hearing God's Call

Typically, books on discernment and vocation are reserved for the priesthood or religious life. What about engineers, construction workers, doctors, or accountants? Does every person not long to have confidence in making such an important life decision? Or perhaps you have been in a career for 15 years and have always wondered, is this part of God's plan? In "Stumbling Through Life," the reader will be presented with a new way of looking at God's will. As we will see, it is less about making the "right" decision and more about responding to the grace which God offers us at every moment, in every situation. The book accomplishes this by looking inward at the passions, skills, and longing which God has planted deep within our hearts. Pulling in some of the tried-and-true methods to discerning God's voice, the reader will develop a deeper trust in the Lord's presence, ultimately realizing God's will has nothing to do with their job. Rather, it is the basic Christian calling to receive God's love and return it. This can be done regardless of our nine-to-five job. Yet, God knows us better than we do ourselves. It is with this supreme knowledge we are called down a particular path toward genuine happiness and fullness of life. To discover this hope, let's begin the journey!
