Mary with Us: Accompaniment and Community in a Fractured World

This brief, three-part primer introduces Mary, the Mother of God, as an exemplar of accompaniment who encourages the people of God to form community in different times and places. From her Marianist roots, Cipolla-McCulloch attends to contemporary moments of crises wherein many institutional structures--both secular and sacred--that have shaped life in the United States in the past 150 years or so are crumbling or being destroyed. In the face of this fragmentation, Mary's presence among the people of God and her accompaniment of God's people in their pursuit of building community offers a hopeful response.
