The Accidental Rabbi: Sermons and Stories from a Life in the Pulpit

Sometimes God has other plans. Such was the case for a young rabbi who never intended to enter the pulpit, but discovered a rabbinic home in an inspiringly diverse Jewish community in Livingston, NJ. The ensuing 20-year relationship nurtured a refreshingly unconventional approach to traditional topics, manifested in a sermon style that is engaging, clear, original, and thoughtful. Shaped by experiences in this dynamic and evolving congregation, The Accidental Rabbi addresses a broad range of issues facing contemporary Judaism.
